The extension · Chrome, Edge, Brave

Every price, on the page you’re already on.

It recognises the product photo on the page and shows where else that exact photo is sold, and for how much. Silent unless it has something to say.

Four steps, about a second

What happens when you open a product page

  1. Step 1

    It reads the product photograph

Only on a product page, only on the marketplaces listed below, and only the main image.

  2. Step 2

It reduces it to 64 bits

A fingerprint of a 32×32 greyscale thumbnail. The picture itself never leaves your browser.

  3. Step 3

    It asks the index

Sixteen characters go to us. Not the image, not the page you are on, not what you were looking at.

  4. Step 4

    It shows you both pictures

Side by side with both prices, so the claim is something you can check in half a second.

Only 64 bits leave your browser

The photo stays. The fingerprint travels.

On a product page, the photo is shrunk to its 64-bit fingerprint inside your browser. Sixteen characters go to the index. The picture, and the page you are on, never do.

Install

Not in the Chrome Web Store yet

A store listing needs a developer account and a review, and neither has happened. Until it does you can load it yourself in about a minute. It is the same build, unpacked.

Works in Edge and Brave too, same build. Firefox needs a one-line manifest change that has not been done.

  1. Clone the repository and run node apps/extension/build.mjs
  2. Open chrome://extensions and turn on Developer mode
  3. Choose Load unpacked, and select the apps/extension folder
  4. Open a product page on any of the sites below
What it can see

Four shops and a list of image servers. Nothing else.

  • Product pages onlyIt runs on Amazon, Walmart, eBay, AliExpress product pages and nowhere else. The permission list names each image server one by one, rather than asking for every site you visit.
  • The photo never leaves your browserIt is reduced to a 64-bit fingerprint locally. What reaches us is sixteen characters and, if the page showed one, a price. A fingerprint cannot be turned back into a picture.
  • No account, no trackingNo sign-in and no tracking. Some outbound links earn a commission, and the panel says so on every result.
Coming with Plus

Every product page you open, checked silently.

With Plus, the extension checks in the background and only speaks up when you would pay less elsewhere, with alerts when a watched price drops. $4.99 a month or $39 a year, opening as a waitlist first.

What it can find today

376Objects indexed
387Listings collapsed
1Catalogues connected
9Sold by 2+ sellers

Being plain about it: the index currently holds one catalogue, so on most pages the extension will find nothing and say nothing. That is a coverage gap rather than a judgement about the market, and the panel says which it is, rather than letting silence imply the stronger claim. How the matching works →

Start

Until it’s installed, just ask.

Paste a link or describe the thing. The app checks every seller for the same photo and shows you the cheapest that fits.
