Use case · The thing you saw

You saw it in a feed.
Now see what it really costs.

The same product is often sold by many shops under different names. Paste the link, or describe it, and we match the photo to find every seller we can see.

How to ask for this

One word changes the answer.

Three habits that get you the right thing at the right price. Each is run both ways against the index, so you can see the difference.

  1. 01

Paste the link if you have it

    Say“a lotus lamp”Itemlotus lamp1 match, from $11.11
Rather than“the lamp I saw on Instagram”0 matches

We cannot see your feed, so “the one I saw” matches nothing. Paste the product link on the Overpay page and we read its photo instead, or describe what is in the picture.

  2. 02

    Describe what you can see

    Say“a projector light”Itemprojector light1 match, from $11.21
Rather than“that viral light thing”0 matches

Say the object in plain words. The photo match then finds renamed copies that share none of your words.

  3. 03

Put the budget in the sentence

    Say“a backpack under $25”ItembackpackPrice≤ $2520 matches, from $4.21
    Rather than“a cheap backpack”0 matches

“Under $25” is a gate: nothing over it can come back. “Cheap” is just another word to find in a title, and sellers almost never write it, so it finds less, not cheaper.

Questions

What people ask first.

How can a product be cheaper somewhere else if it is the same?

Many shops resell goods from the same suppliers and upload the supplier's photo unchanged. The product is identical; the markup is not. Vesim matches the photo to put those listings side by side.

Do you upload my photo?

No. When you check a photo, it is reduced to a 64-bit fingerprint in your browser and only that fingerprint is compared. When you paste a link, our server reads that public page to find its product photo.

Does it work across every shop?

Not yet. Vesim is built to search millions of products and connects one catalogue today. Each network that connects widens every answer.
